Scott’s first book, The Next Level: What Insiders Know About Executive Success is in its 3rd edition and is required reading in many companies for their newly promoted managers and executives. His second book, Overworked and Overwhelmed: The Mindfulness Alternative was one of the first to offer simple, practical and immediately applicable strategies and tactics to leverage the natural intersection between leading and living at one’s best.

Scott is an honors graduate of Davidson College and holds a master's degree in public administration from Harvard University. He has a certificate in leadership coaching from Georgetown University and was a 10-year teaching faculty member of that program. He is currently an adjunct executive education faculty member for the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and Duke Corporate Education.
Away from the classroom, stage and Zoom screen, Scott is also a Registered Yoga Teacher, an avid Peloton rider and an aspiring rock guitarist.
