Well, not really. But it may as well have, according to a 2015 Microsoft study on Canadians’ media consumption. It found that the average attention span has fallen to eight seconds.

Attention span (or lack thereof) is a major issue not only in our culture, but in the workplace. Last week, Fast Company ran a story called “6 Ways to Become a Better Listener,” for which I was interviewed. It’s a great topic and very relevant in our era of dopamine derailment.
